1lb Rigatoni Pasta
13.5 oz. of Ground Beef
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cups onion (medium sliced)
1/4 orange bell peppers
1/4 tsp thyme leaves
1/4 tsp parsley flakes
1/4 tsp oregano leaves
1/4 Italian seasoning
1 cup Mama Sinmis Red Sauce
1/4 Chickpeas (Optional)
Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
Chopped Italian Parsley (optional)
Heat a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the olive oil and onions. Cook until softened and translucent (about 5 minutes). Add Ground beef and cook all the way until cooked. Drain Excess fat. Add the bell peppers and chickpeas. Stir slightly and allow to cook for about 1 minute. Add Mama Sinmi's Red Sauce along with your thyme, parsley, oregano, and Italian seasoning. Cook with lid on for about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, in another large pot of water, boil pasta over high heat and add salt (follow directions on package). Add your pasta and cook until tender or Al dente for about 12-14 minutes. Drain pasta.
Add your pasta to the bolognese sauce. Gently stir together. If needed add a tablespoon of some of the reserved pasta cooking liquid to moisten the pasta and allow all the flavors to become one. Add your pepper flakes. Cover with the lid and cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Divide rigatoni between 4 - 6 bowls, top with chopped Italian parsley and enjoy!
